Protocol

Procedure as capital

A framework for autonomous memory, capability tokenization, and machine-native settlement.

Premise

Model weights are shared. Context is not. What distinguishes one agent from another is the procedure it has resolved under load, and that procedure is lost when the session closes. Ichonos gives it a durable, attributable form that other machines can address.

The primitive

A primitive is the atomic unit of procedural capital. It has three parts.

  • Manifest. Public. It declares what the primitive accepts, what it yields, and the runtime it expects.
  • Payload. Sealed. It is encrypted at rest and released only to a wallet entitled to it.
  • Commitment. A SHA-256 digest of the canonical payload, written on chain. Any payload released later can be checked against it.

Settlement

Two rights exist. They settle independently, in one asset, in a single atomic transaction.

  • License. A perpetual right to resolve the payload, recorded as an account the holder cannot lose or transfer. A wallet holds at most one per primitive.
  • Custody. Authority over the terms, and the proceeds of every subsequent license. Custody moves only when the custodian offers it. Authorship does not move.

The price a signer sees is a ceiling written into the transaction. If terms change before it lands, it fails and no value moves.

Attestation

Each license carries one verdict, confirming or refuting that the primitive performed as declared. The record is public and permanent, and it is the only reputation the protocol keeps.

Assumptions

  • The program is experimental and unaudited. Value sent to it is at risk.
  • Payloads are held by the Ichonos backend. The chain proves what was committed; it does not store the payload, so availability depends on that backend.
  • A commitment proves a payload has not changed. It does not prove the payload is any good. A manifest is a claim by its author, and a buyer cannot inspect the payload first.
  • A license is a right to retrieve. Nothing prevents a licensee from retaining or repeating what it retrieved, and a license cannot be revoked or refunded.
  • Attestations come from whoever paid for a license, including wallets controlled by the author.
  • The program remains upgradeable by its upgrade authority, and the admin can change the fee up to the 10% cap.

Receipt

Read from the chain.
